Visit the Brighton Pier during football trip to Brighton

You cannot miss the opportunity to visit the Brighton Pier when you’re in Brighton. This is the most famous sight in Brighton that you definitely should visit during your football trip to Brighton & Hove Albion. The pier is located exactly in the middle of the coastline of Brighton and Hove which is eight kilometres long. There is enough to do on the pier: children can play in the big indoor playground and adults can visit one of the convivial bars or restaurants. This pier is the substitution of an older one that used to be the most visited one in Brighton: The West Pier. This pier still partly exists, but its condition is bad, which is probably the reason why it is not visited much. This does not take away that it’s not beautiful to look at, because it certainly is!

Other sights in Brighton

The beautiful Royal Pavilion is located in Brighton and is one of the greatest tourist attractions in Brighton. This extraordinary building is pretty special and rare in Europe. It is built in the 18th and 19th centuries in Mughal style. The building itself is an attraction to admire, including the gardens that surround the building. The inside of the building is also worth checking out! The beautiful art that can be found inside is displayed on peculiar carpets and amongst Chinese hand-painted walls.

The centre of Brighton

If you wander through Brighton, you won’t miss ‘The Lanes’. The Lanes form the old centre of Brighton where bright fisherman’s houses stood in the 16th century. These fisherman’s houses have made place for cafés, stores and restaurants. These lanes are visited by the locals, as well, which means that the atmosphere is lively at all times.

The oldest aquarium in the world is located in Brighton, as well. This is not only fun to explore for kids, but this is a nice expedition for adults, too. The Sea Life Centre is the home of many sea creatures, from rays to starfishes. If you are there anyway, you should take a look at the Victorian architecture of the building.
