TuS Eintracht Frankfurt von 1861, known as Eintracht Frankfurt nowadays, was established in 1920 after several fusions amongst a couple of associations from Frankfurt. The club achieved good results after their establishment and was one of the seventeen clubs that conquered a spot in the Bundesliga in 1963, which became the new professional football competition. The club managed to get in the upper regions of the competition throughout the years and their highest result was a second place in the season of 1991-’92.

Eintracht Frankfurt plays its home matches in the Deutsche Bank Park, a beautiful stadium in Frankfurt that changed names in July of 2020. The stadium used to be called Commerzbank-Arena. The German people call the stadium the Waldstadion now.

The Deutsche Bank Park opened its doors in 1925 for the first time. The stadium has reached a capacity of 51.500 throughout the years. It's therefore one of the biggest stadiums in Germany. Since the establishment of the Bundesliga, the stadium is predominantly used by Eintracht Frankfurt, but it is used for other sports and events, too. Eintracht Frankfurt won the UEFA Cup in the Waldstadion in 1980. The Waldstadion was one of the twelve stadiums which was used for the World Championship in Germany in 2006. Four group matches and one quarter finals were played there.
