Fixtures Championship  Championship

The English Football League Championship, simply referred to as the Championship, is the second-highest English Football League system, after the Premier League. The Championship was officially founded in 2004, and before that time known as the First Division and Division Two. Despite not being a top-flight division, the Championship is the seventh richest division in Europe and the wealthiest non-top flight football division in the world. In the 2018-019 season, the Championship’s overall average match attendance for each match was 20,181, making it the most-watched secondary league in the world. In short, the Championship is very popular, and definitely worth a visit. The lively English football culture is a unique experience one will never forget.

The Championship consists of 24 football clubs. Each team plays 46 matches during the season, from August to May. The number 1, 2 and the Championship play-offs winner are promoted to the Premier League.
