The club is well known for its distinctive social culture and large following, strongly identified with their left wing politics support. The ‘Kult’ club has even developed beyond Germany. St. Pauli play all their home games in the Millerntor-Stadion, which has a capacity of 32,000. The stadium was built in 1961.
