After a disappointing 16th spot in the rankings of La Liga last season, when they just managed to escape relegation, it is time for a fresh start. Former trainer of the club, Gennaro Gattuso, was fired after only seven months. Arne Slot’s name, among others, fell in the Spanish coastal city. The biggest challenge of Valencia is to stay out of the danger zone this season.

Begin and end Valencia CF season
Valencia will play an away game against Seville on matchday one. A great test for the six-fold champions. The next match will be an easier one; they’ll play against Las Palmans. Valencia will play against Celta de Vigo on the last matchday of the season, May 26. Hopefully, there won’t be a lot on stake for Edinson Cavani’s team this match. Unless they can still compete to get a ticket to European football.
