Celtic - Glasgow Rangers (The Old Firm)
Celtic FC and Glasgow Rangers are the two biggest football clubs from Glasgow, Scotland. The match between both clubs is one of the world’s greatest derbies, together with El Clásico in Spain, the Superclásico in Argentina, and the Derby della Madonnina in Italy. The match is commonly referred to as the Old Firm – in the early days commentators used to refer to both teams as two old firm friends. However, the rivalry has intensified a lot over the years and has become deeply embedded in the Scottish culture.
In 2012, Rangers FC endured financial difficulties and were placed back to the bottom fourth tier of the Scottish League. In 2016 they had made their way back up to the Scottish Premiership again and the Old Firm was reborn.
