Juventus - Torino (Derby della Mole)
Juventus and Torino have been fighting for Turin’s honour ever since 1907. The match played between the two football clubs is mostly referred to as Derby della Mole, named after the Mole Antonelliana, a major landmark in Turin that has always been an important architectural symbol of the city. The match is also referred to as Derby di Torino or simply Turin Derby.
In 1906, after several disputes at Juventus, major financier Alfredo Dick led the merger of Football Club Torinese: football club Torino was founded, as was the Derby della Mole. The first Turin Derby was played on 13 January 1907. Since then, the match between the two clubs from Turin has not been played in the Serie A 13 times: 12 times because Torino were relegated to the Serie B and once after Juventus' relegation due to the Italian football scandal in 2006.
In total, the clubs have competed each other 241 times. Juventus have won 104 matches against Torino; Torino have beaten Juventus 73 times while 64 matches have been drawn.
